Plug lan cable into WAN port of second router. since my "dhcp-option" goes under "Additional DNSMasq Options", is DNSMasq under "Setup" required to be checked? If so, how do i get my DHCP server to respond? thanks! I also found that when "Use DNSMasq for DHCP" is checked my DHCP server doesn't respond, but when unchecked it does. Also, i had to change my DD-WRT router from a client-bridge (because its just used as a second wifi hotspot) to an AP because its providing services. I found some great tips by searching and found that the "dhcp-option=3,x.x.x.x" lets you set a default gateway but when used it doesn't change my client's settings. The problem is that they are getting a default gateway with the IP of the second router. I turned on the service and turned it off on the primary router and my clients are getting their IPs from the DD-WRT router. I also would like to run my DHCP server from the DD-WRT router. They are connected by LAN and the the primary use of the secondary DD-WRT router is to provide a second wifi hotspot. I'm running two routers, the primary AP which is not DD-WRT, and a secondary one that is running v24 SP2. Posted: Sat 14:44 Post subject: DHCP on second router
